Dr. Mitcheell Maestre
Software Developer
Mitcheell works as software developer in MestreLab since January 2018. He finished his Chemistry studies at the University of Havana, Cuba (UH) in 1997 and started specializing in NMR since then. After three years at the Faculty of Chemistry of the UH, he moved to Germany and started working in the field of biomolecular NMR. He was first at the University of Frankfurt, and then at the Martin Luther University in Halle, finishing his PhD in 2008, applying NMR and molecular modelling methods to study proteins and its interactions. He then moved to the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen, where he specialized in paramagnetic NMR and put a strong focus on data analysis and scientific programming. In 2016 he started at the eScience Department of the GWDG Göttingen, working in the management and maintenance of a cloud computing facility. In our team, he is focusing in scripting and automation with Mnova.
